Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool helps you enter Indian language text easily into any application in Microsoft Windows or on any page on the Web. The primary input mechanism is transliteration. Additionally, it provides a visual keyboard to assist with editing words that do not transliterate properly.

For Windows XP Users-
The Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool installer may need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and the Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 if they are not already present on your system. These pre-installation steps may require a restart.
Following the restart, an attempt will be made to resume the installation. In case the installation does not automatically resume, you will have to run the installer again. For this reason, it is recommended that you save the installer locally by choosing 'Save' instead of 'Run' or 'Open' at the download prompt.
